Diabolical Skateboards was founded in 1997 by professional skateboarder and artist Mike Santarossa, graphic designer Tai Kahn, and businessman Steveo Melkonian. After a hiatus, the company rebranded and relaunched in 2009, unveiling a new product line for 2010. The revamped team included notable Southern California skaters: Frankie Hill (rail and gap legend), Tony Tieu (former Santa Cruz Pro), George Nagai (Shorty’s Team Manager), Mike Abarta (up-and-coming 20-year-old talent), and founder Mike Santarossa. Additionally, the team added Canadian skater Ryan Millar, a highly respected street skater from Winnipeg, to further elevate the brand's presence.
The 2000 team included: Ben Kendall, Ryan Wilson, Pablo Favela, Pete McGeary, Geoff Dermer, Frankie Hill, and Mike Santarossa.
