Skateboarding is big again – so big, in fact, that the Halle Münsterland arena could no longer accommodate the crowds of spectators. So, for the first time, the decision was made to move to Dortmund, to the huge Westfalenhalle arena. And indeed, it was filled to the rafters. Not only the number of visitors, but also the number of pros in attendance was topped once again, and Brian Anderson managed to clinch victory for the second time in a row. The huge crowds camping out in the adjacent parking lots felt particularly at home – until the police arrived and were less than enthusiastic about their enthusiasm.
Skateboarding is big again – und zwar SO big, dass die Halle Münsterland die Massen an Zuschauern nicht mehr hätten fassen können. Also entschied man sich erstmalig nach Dortmund auszuweichen, in die riesige Westfalenhalle. Und in der Tat, sie war bis unters Dach gefüllt. Nicht nur die Besucherzahlen, sondern auch die der anwesenden Pro´s wurden ein weiteres Mal getoppt und Brian Anderson schaffte es zum 2. Mal hintereinander den Sieg einzuheimsen. Besonders wohl fühlten sich die Unmengen an Zuschauern, die auf den anliegenden Parkplätzen kampierten – bis die Polizei anrückte und diese Begeisterung eher weniger teilte.
