Founded in 1988, Homeboy quickly became one of the pioneers of streetwear, establishing itself as the world’s third streetwear brand. Rooted in skate culture, the brand embraced hip-hop’s rise in the late ‘80s, drawing inspiration from iconic artists like Public Enemy, Run-DMC, and Ice-T. By 1991, Homeboy had already collaborated with German hip-hop legends Moses Pelham and Die Fantastischen Vier. Homeboy made a major impact on fashion with the introduction of baggy pants in 1991, revolutionizing streetwear and influencing global trends. The brand’s influence didn’t stop at fashion—its involvement in action sports, including skateboarding, BMX, and snowboarding, shaped an entire generation. Known for its “Homeboy Loud Couture” logo, the brand also innovated with the Coach Jacket, one of the first nylon jackets featuring bold branding. Today, Homeboy remains a timeless symbol of streetwear culture, blending music, fashion, and action sports.
