Vision Skateboards was founded in 1976 by Brad Dorfman as an American skateboarding brand that later expanded into BMX, footwear, and apparel. The company sponsored professional skateboarders Mark "Gator" Rogowski and Mark Gonzales. In 1984, Vision released its first pro model for Rogowski, featuring graphics by Greg Evans. Gonzales received his first Vision pro model in 1985, followed by the "Psycho Stick" in 1986, both illustrated by Andy Takakjian. Vision later entered a licensing agreement with SIMS Skateboards to produce and market the SIMS brand. Gonzales eventually left Vision to co-found Blind Skateboards with World Industries.
