Started in 2014 by skater and videographer Grant Yansura, homegrown California label WKND Skateboards retains its DIY spirit after nearly a decade of operations. From its playful skate edits—dubbed “weekendtages”—to its offbeat deck designs, the brand is known for its easygoing attitude and hodgepodge aesthetic. The label’s collection of pro model decks, honoring skaters like Alex Schmidt and Trevor Thompson, features a sundry mix of screen-printed graphics regularly illustrated by multidisciplinary artist Sympathy Dropout. Sticking to its homespun roots, WKND Skateboards delivers fun-filled skate goods for the community, by the community.
