Flatspot.com: Continually inspired by their love of glam culture and their joint tenure to both London and the West Coast, Yardsale’s Summer ‘23 release combines Y2K nostalgia with an appreciation for streetwear nuances, music and skate culture. New season Yardsale t-shirts include the varsity style Sierra Velour T-Shirt featuring panelled details and applique embroidery, whilst other staples such as the World Order, World and Eclipse T-Shirt feature all-new graphic prints and artwork heavily influenced by throwback ‘00s pop culture references. Ideal for colder days and for layering, all-new Yardsale sweaters and long sleeve layers include the Ryder V-Neck Sweatshirt inspired by classic knitwear, whilst new Yardsale hoodies such as the Bay Hoodie are styled with contrast details across the shoulders and hood, with a full length zipper fastening and elasticated cuffs. Launched from a desire to bring something new to the international skate scene, Yardsale was formed in South-East London in 2013 by Daniel Kreitem, and takes its inspiration from the sunshine culture of Los Angeles and Miami Beach in the 1980’s. Enhanced by ties to UK underground culture and inspired by the capital’s skate scene, Yardsale’s explorative aesthetic combines ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s references with a love for West Coast sunset and cocktail details. Forging its way into the limelight, recent video parts include Mile, Party in Poland, P4P and YS2, whilst collaborations include work alongside the likes of Dickies, Vans and Sergio Tacchini.
