In 1991, Natas Kaupas left SMA to co-found 101 Skateboards with Steve Rocco. The brand quickly became a platform for Kaupas' artistic talents while remaining active in skateboarding. With a team featuring influential skaters like Eric Koston, Gino Iannucci, Jason Dill, and Gabriel Rodriguez, 101 released groundbreaking videos that helped shape the 1990s skate culture. After 6-7 years, 101 ceased operations in 1997. The brand's legacy endures through Heritage Reissues, collectible boards that honor 101’s iconic designs and its impact on skateboarding's evolution.
