Hometown: San Jose, California
DOB: December 17, 1981
Jerry Hsu is a professional skateboarder from San Jose, California who turned pro at 16. Early on, he rode for Maple Skateboards, where he filmed some of his first major video parts and helped put the brand on the map in the late 90s early 2000s. He later became one of the most recognizable riders on enjoi Skateboards, spending over a decade with the company and playing a key role in videos like "Bag of Suck". After leaving enjoi, he joined Chocolate Skateboards under Crailtap, marking a new chapter in his career. Hsu has also been a longtime rider for Emerica, filming parts in Stay Gold and the Made series as his skating evolved.
Outside of sponsorships, Hsu has built a strong creative life. He’s an active photographer, publishing books and exhibiting his work, and in 2017 he founded Sci-Fi Fantasy. The company evolved from cryptic Instagram posts and limited hats into a full skate brand. It remains a personal, art-driven project rather than a conventional company.
