Bill Danforth is a skateboarder from Detroit who began skating in the early 70's, developing his skills through magazines and self built ramps before skateparks were widely available. Endless Summer Skatepark played a central role in his development, serving as a base for competition throughout the Great Lakes region. During this period, he received sponsorship from Madrid, Tracker, and later American Nomad. Danforth was known for his ability on both vert and street terrain and for maintaining a low public profile. Beyond skateboarding, his life was closely tied to punk music, extensive travel, and a close knit creative community.
