Hometown: Gold Coast, Australia Shari White, originally from Queensland's Gold Coast, grew up skating at suburban skateparks before relocating to Vancouver. There, she became part of a tight-knit skate scene with a focus on one central downtown skatepark and a shared skate shop. Shari began filming in her teens, influenced by Kristen Ebeling and the Skate Witches, which led her to further pursue filming with a VX camera, a tool she used for its close and distinct style. Her career took off when she was given creative control by Vans to direct *Credits*, an all-women's skate video, marking a milestone in skateboarding culture. Initially planned as a smaller project, it evolved into a full-length video featuring a crew of talented women skaters. Shari’s work reflects her passion for street skating and collaboration, striving to inspire more women to create relatable skate parts. Today, Shari continues to blend skating, filming, and zine-making, living a dynamic life between Vancouver and her roots in Australia.
