Jaime Reyes was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and she helped define women’s street skating in the 1990s. She began skating at age 13 after meeting local skaters at Aala Park and quickly progressed, winning an early contest that led to support from Real Skateboards. In 1993 she turned pro and the following year appeared on the April 1994 cover of Thrasher Magazine, becoming only the second woman after Cara Beth Burnside and one of just three women ever featured on the cover. Reyes later rode for Rookie in New York and competed in the X Games. She released a signature deck with Together Together in 2019 and was inducted into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame in 2025. Her Thrasher cover is held in the Smithsonian National Museum of American History collection.
