Born in Portland, Oregon, and raised in Oklahoma City, Nuge’s journey into skateboarding began at a young age, influenced by his Vietnamese heritage. Growing up, he spent much of his time in pool halls, but it wasn’t long before he discovered his passion for skateboarding. By the age of 18, Nuge moved to California to chase his dreams of skateboarding year-round.
Nuge first gained recognition through his powerful skateboarding style, featured in Foundation’s "Cataclysmic Abyss". His boldness and technical prowess led to his infamous ollie over the massive 20-stair at El Toro High School, earning him widespread fame. He later joined the Baker Skateboards team, a dream come true for Nuge, marking a significant chapter in his career. Throughout his time with Baker, he became known for his fearless approach to skating, taking on dangerous spots like Baxter Street in Los Angeles, California.

He has also maintained a strong presence in the music world, playing guitar and bass in various bands, including 'LSDemon' and 'Easy'.
As an Asian-American skater, Nuge’s journey hasn’t been without challenges, but skateboarding has always been a place where he could express himself freely.
