Hometown: Studio City, California, USA Stance: Goofy Kader Sylla is an American professional skateboarder from Encino, California, known for his smooth, effortless style and goofy-footed stance. Raised by his Ivorian mother, Sylla’s early exposure to fingerboards sparked a love for skateboarding. At age six, his grandmother gifted him his first skateboard from CVS, and he soon taught himself using YouTube tutorials. Inspired by pros like Rowan Zorilla and Torey Pudwill, he quickly gained recognition through Instagram and local footage (Castro, 2022). By 2016, Kader caught the attention of Baker Skateboards founder Andrew Reynolds and joined the team as an amateur. He briefly rode for Emerica before moving through shoe deals with Vans and Nike SB, eventually landing with Adidas, where he now has a signature shoe. In 2019, at just 16, he turned pro for Baker and joined the Supreme skate team. Now a prominent figure in skateboarding, Kader is part of the Carcasscrew and continues to release standout parts in films like "Baker 4", and Supreme’s "Play Dead". Despite fame, he remains grounded—supporting his family, giving back to his community, and planning fashion ventures, all while staying true to his bold, unapologetic personality
