Born on June 6, 1978, in Lakeland, Florida, Andrew Reynolds rose from a quiet Southern town to become one of skateboarding’s most iconic figures. He discovered skating as a teenager and quickly fell in love with the freedom and creativity it offered. By his late teens, Reynolds moved to California and turned pro in 1995, joining Tony Hawk’s Birdhouse team and gaining recognition for his massive frontside flips and fearless approach to big stair sets.
In 2000, Reynolds founded Baker Skateboards, a brand built on friendship, raw talent, and a DIY spirit. Baker stood out in the skate world for its authentic representation of skate culture, attracting a loyal following and shaping the next generation of riders. Despite Baker’s early image being tied to heavy partying, Reynolds’ personal battles with addiction led him to make a life-altering decision—he got sober in his late 20s. Now with over 20 years of sobriety, he’s become a role model not just for skaters but for anyone seeking positive change.
Reynolds continues to lead Baker. He's also a father to his daughter Stella, who shares his love for skating. Today, Reynolds still skates several times a week, staying in shape with skate-specific workouts and a plant-based lifestyle.
