Tim Gavin is a professional skateboarder whose career helped shape street skating in the early-nineties while later influencing the business side of the industry. Raised in Phoenix, he began skating in 1988 and quickly stood out at local contests. He was introduced to H-Street through Colby Carter and Randy Colvin and soon moved to California as a teenager, living in the H-Street house and learning from skaters like Jason Lee, Sal Barbier, and Mark Gonzales. His smooth and controlled style earned him memorable appearances in videos such as "Hokus Pokus" and Blind’s "Pack of Lies" alongside Henry Sanchez.
Gavin later rode for Blind, World Industries, and became part of the original Girl Skateboards roster. As his time filming slowed, he transitioned into business, co-founding DVS Shoes and helping build brands like Matix and Lakai. Outside of skating, Gavin values family, health, and close friendships. Now a husband and father, he remains connected to skateboarding through footwear projects, mentorship, and ongoing creative work.
